Frequently Asked Questions
Does my customer need a crypto wallet to pay?
No. Customers can pay with a debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through WerninBill's licensed on-ramp providers (Coinbase, Banxa, Binance). They never need to own or understand crypto.
What do I, the merchant, receive?
You always receive crypto (typically USDC on Polygon) directly to your own self-custodial wallet, regardless of how the customer paid. WerninBill never holds your funds.
What's the fee?
WerninBill charges a flat 1% platform fee per successful transaction. The underlying payment provider (Coinbase/Banxa/Binance) may charge its own separate processing fee.
Do I need to sign up or pass KYC?
No merchant KYC/KYB is required from WerninBill to start integrating. Individual payment providers may apply their own verification for specific transactions.
Where does checkout happen?
Customers are redirected to a hosted checkout at checkout.wernin.site — they never enter card details on your own server, which keeps you out of PCI DSS scope.
What if I don't have a website?
Use the Create Payment Link tool to generate a one-off payment link and send it directly to a customer — no plugin or website required.
