About WerninBill
Card and crypto payments, paid to your own wallet
WerninBill is a payment gateway for online businesses. Your customers pay the way they already pay, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto, and you receive the money in a crypto wallet that only you control.
We launched in 2026 as an independent project. This page explains what we do, what we don’t do, and exactly where your money goes.
Why WerninBill exists
A lot of small online businesses hit the same wall. Hosting companies, digital sellers and freelancers in many countries apply for a card merchant account and wait weeks for an answer. Sometimes the answer is no. Sometimes the account is opened and then frozen without much explanation.
Meanwhile, licensed crypto on-ramp providers already take card payments every day and deliver stablecoins in return. WerninBill connects the two. A store can accept an ordinary card payment and receive USDC, without applying for its own merchant account.
Where your money goes
Here is what happens when a customer pays by card:
- Your store sends the customer to our hosted checkout at checkout.wernin.site.
- The customer chooses a payment provider available in their country, such as Coinbase, Banxa or Transak, and pays by card.
- The provider processes the card and sends USDC to a temporary address created for that one order.
- The funds are forwarded to the wallet address you entered in your plugin settings or payment link.
- Your store receives a callback and marks the order as paid.
Direct crypto payments work the same way, minus the card step. You can follow any payment on the public blockchain with our payment tracker.
What we do and what we don’t
We don’t hold your funds
Payments are forwarded to your own wallet. There’s no WerninBill balance, no withdrawal button and no payout schedule.
We never see card numbers
Card details are entered on the provider’s side of the checkout. Neither your store nor WerninBill stores them.
We never ask for your keys
We only need a public wallet address. Nobody from WerninBill will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key. If someone does, it isn’t us.
We’re not a bank
WerninBill provides payment technology. It isn’t a bank and doesn’t take deposits. Card payments are processed by the third-party providers shown at checkout.
We don’t require merchant KYC
You can integrate without sending us documents. Payment providers may still ask a customer to verify their identity on some transactions. That decision is theirs.
We don’t hide fees
Our fee is 1% per successful transaction, with no setup or monthly fee. Providers charge their own fee on top, which depends on the provider and the customer’s country. Pricing details.
Check the code yourself
Our plugins for WooCommerce, WHMCS, OpenCart and PrestaShop, and the PHP starter kit, are distributed as readable source code. You or your developer can open them and see exactly what data is sent and where before installing anything. The WooCommerce plugin is licensed under GPLv3.
Who WerninBill is for
Online stores, hosting and SaaS businesses, and freelancers who want to accept cards or crypto and are comfortable being paid in stablecoins.
It isn’t for scams, adult content, gambling, alcohol, drugs or anything else criminal where you or your customers are. Providers enforce their own rules too, and they can refuse a payment. The full list is on our compliance page.
